COVID19 - HEALTH & SAFETY
We will make sure you have a FABULOUS time at the salon, and you’ll leave feeling a million dollars – but your health and well-being is very important to us. That’s why we’ve followed strict guidelines and your appointment will be a little different from usual.
Please make sure you read through this page in full before your appointment.
It may be difficult to get an appointment at first due to high demand – your patient is truly appreciated. Keep an eye on our Facebook and Instagram pages for all the latest news and updates.
Some services and treatments may not be on offer until further notice, your hair stylist will chat this through with you at the time of your booking.
We have put measures in place to protect both you and your stylist during your appointment, and we would ask for you to kindly comply with all of these measures.
Please do not come to your appointment if:
• You feel unwell
• You live with anyone who is unwell
• You have been in contact with anyone who has typical coronavirus symptoms such as a cough, shortness in breath, loss or change of your sense of smell or taste
• You have recently travelled to an area with high infection rate.
If you need to cancel no penalty or cancellation fee will apply. You will need to reschedule your appointment for at least 14 days’ time
It doesn’t matter how late you have to cancel in this instance.
Please note – Aura staff have the right to turn you away should they feel that you are unwell.
What to expect from your appointment:
Please arrive exactly at the time agreed between you and your stylist. We have arranged arrivals and departures carefully so you should never be in contact with other customers. At this time, we will not allow friends or family to accompany you to your appointment.
We will not be able to take your coats to store during your appointment. If you have to wear a coat, please bring a plastic bag to store it in during your appointment.
First thing first, we will ensure your contact information is up to date.
If you are an existing client, you will notice that the salon looks a bit different! That is because we’ve maximised our space to ensure a safe 2-meter distance is maintained between you and other customers at all times.
There will be plenty of cleaning and hygiene supplies at the salon, we've carefully sourced the right products to use in the salon to ensure our Covid-19 protection is as powerful and fast-acting as possible.
Face masks must be worn during your appointment. If you bring your own, it must be water-resistant. PPE supplies will be provided for your safety, and the safety of those around you.
Please note: there will be an additional £2 charge for every appointment, to cover the cost of PPE if you do not bring your own.
Please avoid touching anything in the salon – hand rails, displays, products etc.
Tissues and sanitizer will be available and if you need to cough or sneeze, please do so directly into a tissue, and dispose of immediately into an available bin.
Unfortunately, we will not be able to offer you any magazines, books, toys for little ones, product testers, leaflets or price lists.
We will not be able to provide any hot drinks or biscuits during your appointment. You may bring your own to the appointment.
The salon will be regularly cleaned and wiped down throughout the day, and will be deep cleaned at the end of every day.
What to do before your appointment:
Make sure you have washed your hands thoroughly, and are not coming into contact with lots of people before your appointment. If you can socially distance yourself, please do so for 7 days before your appointment.
We would prefer card payment if possible – please make sure you are set up for this before your appointment.
